TRENDVISION AWARD FINAL 2022
Team HJ attended a night of sparkle and spectacle at the Wella Professionals UK & Ireland TrendVision Award 2022 in London
THE TRENDVISION WINNERS
Hosted at a brand new venue, the Wella Professionals TrendVision Award 2022 UK & Ireland Final was a night like no other. Looking out onto the brightly lit London skyline, Magazine London was the venue of choice for a bigger and better than ever before TrendVision.
WELLA COLLABORATION
Guests were welcomed into a wonderland of creativity, where they were invited to drink from a colourful gin fountain and shine in the mirrored Shinefinity room. HJ took a trip backstage to see the buzz before the show, where HOB Academy, Wella Artists and Robert Eaton were preparing for their presentations. Over 700 guests filled the room to celebrate the winners across each of the six competition categories, whilst hundreds of viewers were able to watch proceedings online - highlighting the industry’s newfound ability to reach more people across the world. Patrick Cameron, Wella global ambassador, kicked off proceedings, introducing the magnificent final looks from the Wella finalists, telling the audience: “This is remarkable. Here we are in one of the most stunning settings in London with some of the greatest hairdressing talent in the world. Everything about TrendVision Award is simply incredible and tonight will be a night of celebration to remember.”
HOB ACADEMY
TO HAVE REACHED THE FINAL OF TRENDVISION AWARD AND BE RECOGNISED AT THIS LEVEL IS OUTSTANDING
Guests were then led into the main arena, where Patrick was joined on stage by Denise Van Outen who created a vibrant double act to lead us through the evening. To open the event, HOB Academy, led by Wella top artist, Akin Konizi, along with the HOB Creative Team, presented Viper. It included an array of signature looks, with an exotic twist that was inspired by the power of the venomous viper and its intricately patterned skin. The show was edgy, sharp and colourful with dynamic looks that captivated and inspired the audience.
This was followed by Kaleidoscope, a coming together of Wella Artists Charlie Taylor, Cobella, House of Colour, James Earnshaw, Karbon Kyd, Medusa, Sarah Mason Professional and Stil who collaborated in this hair colour extravaganza.
ROBERT EATON
To close the event, Wella’s technical director, Robert Eaton, presented his Carnival of Colour show. Carnival of Colour was a bold and vibrant display of patterns and reflective metallic tones, teamed with showstopping sequins, accessories and textured colourful braids. Everything about this show was bursting with colour and energy, resulting in a truly unique, never seen before, hair show.
A brilliant display of talent and artistry led perfectly into the awards section of the evening, with Max Amen, general manager UK & Ireland, Wella Company, commenting: “Every single finalist in the room tonight should be proud of what they have achieved. To have reached the Final of TrendVision Award and be recognised at this level is outstanding. Thank you to everyone who has embraced everything about Wella and immersed themselves in our world. Congratulations to all our winners and runners up. The future of UK & Irish hairdressing is clearly in very safe and creative hands.”
