4O GLORIOUS YEARS

Mitch Lucas, Sales Director at Kao Salon Division UKI is celebrating forty years with Goldwell – here his colleagues and friends share their love

“There aren’t many people who would stay up to 4am in the morning ensuring all their customers are looked after or that would get up at 6am just a couple of hours later to ensure he was the first to welcome his customers to breakfast. Mitch is a true icon in the industry, his energy, commitment, and passion for Goldwell and the industry is boundless.”

“HAPPY 40TH ANNIVERSARY! OVER THE PAST FOUR DECADES YOUR LEADERSHIP, VISION, AND ABILITY TO ADAPT TO CHANGING TIMES HAVE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL TO EVERYONE AT GOLDWELL. ON THIS SPECIAL OCCASION, WE WANT TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU, MITCH.”

“MITCH IS A TRUE LEGEND OF KAO SALON AND THE ENTIRE BRITISH HAIRDRESSING INDUSTRY. HIS PASSION, COMMITMENT, ENERGY AND LOVE FOR SALON CUSTOMERS AND STYLISTS IS EXEMPLARY. SOMETIMES I FEEL HE HAS BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY FOR 4 YEARS AND NOT 40 – WHAT A REMARKABLE LEVEL OF ENERGY AND HUNGER FOR SUCCESS!”

“What can I say about this incredible man? I have known Mitch for over 30 years. He’s a legend in this industry -the best of the best. World class! The Rush x Goldwell partnership has deep roots, and this is all down to Mitch. I regard Mitch as a true friend and the Rush team loves working with him. What he says he will do, he will always do. His word is his bond.”

AND A WORD FROM THE MAN HIMSELF…

“I’ve stayed with the company because I believe in everything that they do.

I believe that businesses grow through the relationships that you create with people. We’re very innovative in the way we go to market; hairdressing salons and stylists need that, but they also need it to be delivered by someone who has trustworthiness and loyalty – and the dedication to work and become a true partner with that salon owner and stylist.

I love the industry that we’re in, I love representing the company. I’m a strong believer that we show who we represent, and my heart and soul is in the job that I do.This is an industry that I love, I love the people in it and I love the company that I work for. I’m extremely proud.

I’m a KAO person because of the time that I’ve worked for the company. I attend all the events throughout the UK – I like to be at every event. I go to salon openings; I go to industry awards; and people know me. People set their careers out to become hairdressers, stylists, salon owners and that’s what they are. That will not go away and that just grows in our industry. I’ve seen mums and dads, sons and daughters that have gone into a career in hairdressing and it’s absolutely fantastic.

I believe that strength comes from a company, that strength comes from the brands that you sell and the relationships that you build. Then it becomes people that will buy from people. The faces of KAO are very, very important for us to grow our business in the future.”
