FINALISTS FOR UK AND IRELAND TRENDVISION AWARD ANNOUNCED
Huge congratulations to the finalists of the UK and Ireland TrendVision Award who were announced during two exciting virtual events. A brand new venue was also revealed during the digital events. Situated on London’s iconic Greenwich Peninsula, MAGAZINE LONDON will accommodate the 800 strong audience, where the winners and runners up of the six categories will be announced on Monday 3 October. Not only did the virtual events announce the talented finalists, but there was plenty of inspirational model presentations from leading Wella artists James Earnshaw and Nikki Clifford.

CELEBRATING IN THE PARK
After their awards evening was cancelled this year, the Seanhanna team took the opportunity to announce their winners in a different way: a Picnic In The Park. Their team came together in Nonsuch Park in Surrey and participated in sports activities for the salons to battle against each other. Beehives, Bobs and Blowdries is Back!
The first of its kind hair exhibition curated by fashion research consultant Donna Bevan and hairdresser Andrew Barton, Beehives, Bobs & Blowdries, is returning to Halifax’s Grade 1 listed building Piece Hall.
With the ambition to re-frame the hair and fashion story with additional content, including a focus on sustainability and hair futures, Beehives, Bobs & Blowdries celebrates the art and skills of hairdressing along with some iconic looks of the past 70 years.
The Salon Employers’ Association (SEA) has been invited to join the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) as the only trade organisation representing the Hairdressing & Beauty sector.

KAO GLOBAL CREATIVE AWARDS UK AND IRELAND WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Kao Salon Division UK has announced this year’s winners of the prestigious Global Creative Awards 2022 UK & Ireland. Held at the iconic 14th century, Grade 1 listed Merchant Taylor’s Hall, London, the gold, silver, and bronze winners were unveiled to an audience of salon guests from all over the UK and Ireland. Hosted by Kao Salon Division UK & Ireland general manager, Julie Winchester and key account educator, Tony Perryman, guests were welcomed with canapes, Champagne, cocktails, and a string quartet. “After a tough couple of years, we’re delighted to welcome our customers back together to celebrate such incredible talent and passion. Each of our finalists should be so proud of their achievements – we can’t wait to support you as you head to the Global Experience to represent the UK & Ireland in a few weeks’ time!” said Julie.

Louis Byrne launches Wellbeing Journal
Celebrity hairdresser and empowerment advocate Louis Byrne has launched a Wellbeing Journal. Packed with inspirational quotes as well as useful goal-setting pages, daily intentions and an easy-to-use layout, Louis hopes that the journal will help others examine their key lifestyle choices to better understand themselves. The journal gives insight into principles that are fundamental to wellbeing, encouraging positive habits for improved mental health.
