Colour Placement System Offers New Generation of Professional Products
Colour Placement System’s 1 Step Colour offers a cutting-edge range of high-quality professional products.
1 Step Colour is a developer and manufacturer of a new generation of professional products and makes an ideal partner for the most demanding of hairdressers. 1 Step Colour is a cream bleach and colour pigment that lifts and deposits in one easy step. Mixed with the chosen strength of cream developer, it will begin to break down natural and chemical pigments from the hair.
This creative product, which can be used as scalp bleach or for bleaching sections of hair, ensures lift and tone at the same time, allowing colourists more options when bleaching hair. The resulting emulsion is alkaline (in the range of pH10), and ensures, on average, seven to eight levels of lift as the new oxidationresistant pigments penetrate the hair strands.
After two years of research and development in the professional salon workplace, 1 Step Colour is also launching Tone-up, the revolutionary antiyellow active peroxide. Find out more at www.1stepcolour.com
HPASG Launches Industry Consultation on Apprenticeships
The Hair Professional Apprenticeship Steering Group (HPASG) and Expert Working Groups have been working over the last year to review the apprenticeships, and are undergoing wider consultation.
The Trailblazer apprenticeships in England were originally developed by hair and beauty employees to ensure apprentices gain the level of knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to work well in a hair salon, barbershop or beauty salon. Following the Institute for Apprenticeship and Technical Education (IfATE) route review in mid-2019, the review of the Hair Professional standard was placed on hold due to the pandemic.
Wendy Cummins, the Trailblazer chair said, “It’s important that in these challenging times we have an Apprenticeship Standard, End Point Assessment and appropriate funding band that supports apprentices and our industry.”
