2021 TVA Finalist (Colour Specialist)

“Since entering TrendVision Award I’ve personally gained so much confidence; my clients have gained even more confidence in me now. I’ve made so many amazing bonds, I’ve made great friends… I’ve made both personal and professional friendships.

I think it’s important for self-employed hairdressers to enter competitions because you don’t have a salon behind you to promote you – you’ve got to do it yourself to really get your name out there.

Entering TrendVision Award has given me
the motivation to enter even more
competitions.”

2021 Sebastian Professional Editorial Look Semi Finalist

“I entered TVA last year for the first time when I had just qualified for the Sebastian Professional Editorial Look category and I got to the semi-finals. If you’re struggling to pick a category pick the one that speaks to you the most, even if you don’t have the most experience in it. If you are passionate and have a clear vision in your head, take the plunge – you have nothing to lose.

My ideas and creativity are recognised now,  I’m excited to create new things and I don’t feel like I’ve got imposter syndrome.”

TVA 2021 Runner-Up (Colour Specialist)

“In TrendVision Award 2021 I got through to the finals in the Colour Specialist category and I came home with the silver runner-up award. Will I be entering TVA again? Definitely – there is no other competition like it! It is adrenaline-pumping, amazing and addictive.
If you’re thinking about entering my advice is do it, it is an experience that every colourist should have. What I think led to me winning  the silver award was a real dedication to my look – you need to be invested in what you’re doing.
If I can, you can.

TRENDVISION AWARD: WIN WITH YOUR VISION

Want to be inspired, have the opportunity to showcase your talent to industry icons, and grow your column? Enter the iconic Wella Professionals TrendVision Award this year!

Entering has never been easier, and it’s not just open to those working in a salon. Anyone living or working in the UK or Ireland, including independent stylists, can enter, and you don’t need to be a Wella Professionals account, nor is it essential to use Wella colour at the photographic entry stage (although all finalists are required to use Wella colour).

There are four categories; Colour Artist, Colour Specialist, Craft Artist, and Editorial Look, all of which open on 3 May. All categories are entered on Instagram and will be judged digitally. You can enter each category once with a different look on a different model.

All successful photographic entries will go straight through to the UK & Ireland Final, which is planned for September/October 2022.

TrendVision Award winners will receive incredible prizes: a tailored education development plan for the winner and their salon, including a professional photoshoot
and digital content creation session. Runners up prizes include a development plan, and a digital content creation session. So… what’s stopping you?

THE CATEGORIES

COLOR ARTIST
The Goal: Stunning colour that's multi-dimensional, glossy, healthy-looking and with a premium finish. Handy hint: Colour result, using the Wella Professionals colour portfolio with a suggested focus on the Koleston Perfect range.

COLOR SPECIALIST
The Goal: Beautiful, healthylooking colour that shows mastery in blonding and toning. Choose from the portfolio of blonde shades from pastel candy to steely grey, electric white or sunshine glow.
Handy hint: Colour technique and the Wella Professionals blonde colour portfolio. Suggested focus on BlondorPlex, Illumina Color, Color Fresh Create and Koleston Perfect.

CRAFT ARTIST
The Goal: High-quality service and expertise, high-definition colour and a master hair cut that shows a transformational result.
Handy hint: Cut, colour and styling using the full Wella Professionals colour portfolio, and Shinefinity for a touch of gloss.

THE EDITORIAL LOOK
The Goal: A black and white editorial image that reflects the Sebastian Professional brand – think looser, organic looks
