Create high-quality content optimised with your salons' keywords that are well written such as blogs, include hi-res image and videos, and share it across the web. Show target audience best practices and tell potential clients what to look out for. Create content that gives clients valuable tips on achieving their look.

Get online reviews

Online reviews allow clients to have a voice and creates loyalty. Before people buy a product or service, they check for reviews online. It would help if you had plenty of positive reviews to gain an online community. Ensure your website allows reviews and respond to them timely and professionally – even the negative ones.

Claim your 'My Business' listing on Google

When clients search for a local salon, Google will pick content relevant to the searcher's location. Ensure your business details on the 'My business' section of Google has the latest information such as your opening hours, description of services and treatments you offer.

Go to business.google.com and claim your listing. If it already exists, but you don't own the rights to run the business, click the 'Own this business? Claim it now' button.

Build your community reputation

Getting quality inbound sites to link to your website is valuable. Why not team up with other local businesses, schools, and charities in your area to build your community reputation.

Ensure any partnerships are linked on your website with their website.
