The Sustainable World of FFØR

Discover how you can help your clients do good, look good and feel good with FFØR’s sustainable, vegan, free-from and natural professional hair care range

As the wider world moves towards being more eco-conscious and sustainable it’s time to take a closer look at the professional products you use in the salon and sell to your loyal clients.

FFØR, which stands for Free From, Organic and Real is a professional hair care range that lives by three simple rules –Do Good, Look Good and Feel Good.

Sustainability is core to FFØR’s ethos – every element is thoughtfully considered to be as environmentally, ethically, morally and sustainably responsible as can be, including FFØR’s first ever free-from hair colour range.

FFØR X natural ingredients

FFØR is committed to making sure the ingredients throughout its range are as naturally derived as possible, with up to 96% natural ingredients within each product. This means no parabens, sulphates, mineral oils or synthetic fragrances are used and the products are gluten-free, cruelty-free and vegan-friendly. These ethically sourced ingredients are then packaged in fully recyclable bottles, jars and tubes, made from postconsumer recycled (PCR) materials.

FFØR houses its products in carefully considered packaging to strive for the lowest environmental footprint possible. This includes using up to 100% post-consumer recycled plastic across all bottles and jars within the range.

Post-consumer recycled packaging provides a sustainable alternative to regular plastic that can be recycled and reused over and over again. The material minimises the use of virgin plastic by reusing resins that could potentially end up in landfill. The post-consumer recycled materials have already been processed from fossil fuel to plastic. This means the process doesn’t require any further depletion of new fossil fuels, providing an innovative closed loop packaging solution.

FFØR X cruelty-free status

FFØR is delighted to announce it is now part of PETA’S Beauty Without Bunnies list. This mark of excellence is a testament to the work FFØR has done to ensure all products within the range are cruelty-free and 100% vegan.

Being recognised with this certification by the figurehead of the animal rights movement, brings the brand closer to realising its ambition of championing ethical values without compromising results.

FFØR X Green Salon Collective

FFØR is proud to be working in partnership with Green Salon Collective. This ground-breaking initiative in the UK and Ireland allows salons to sign-up to a recycling programme that helps to dispose of salon wastage. It encourages stylists and consumers to be more sustainably minded by recycling everything from used foil to leftover bleach. The founders (self-defined as the Green Libertines) have worked overtime to ensure their solution is efficient and streamlined. The scheme was launched in 2020 and as the UK and Ireland moves beyond the pandemic FFØR is excited to work with the Green Salon Collective on the next steps of the rollout.
