From 9-10 June the very first Professional Beauty &Hair Glasgow landed at the SEC Glasgow
Professional Beauty & Hair Glasgow was a new collaboration between Hairdressers Journal International and our sister magazine Professional Beauty. From Sunday 9 – Monday 10 June a mixture of hair, barbering, skincare, nails, make-up and more attracted thousands of professionals. Visitors came to see live stages, business panel talks and meet hundreds of brands.
Speaking on the event, Jayne Lewis Orr, Executive Director of the Professional Beauty Group said: “The Hair & Barbering Stage was an absolute pleasure to host as we welcomed fantastic individuals and teams who shared everything from creative colouring techniques, polished commercial looks to incredible session styles, including a live photoshoot. Huge thanks to all the artists who flew the flag for Scottish hairdressing and with great brands on the show floor, we are looking forward to growing the event which will return on 12 June 2025.”
Leading hairdressing brands such as OSMO, FFØR and milk_shake, Matakki, Spectrum One, Zen Hair, REM, Only Curls, Neocape and more, were exhibiting. Meanwhile hairdressers united to put on amazing shows on the Hair and Barbering Stage. On Sunday the audience saw demos from Rainbow Room International, Medusa, Kyle Dickson, Alan Edwards, ROAR Hair and Beauty and Andy Dawson. The next day saw Jason Hall team up on stage for a live photoshoot with Desmond Murray, whilst Gray’s International, Cheynes Hairdressing, Sara Mann and Marlene Lamont also took to the stage.
On the Business and Trends stage, hot topics such as Future-Proofing your Salon Business, How to Grow Your
Client Base and How to Cut Costs and Increase Profits were discussed by experts including Liz McKeon, Alex Thaddeus and Wil Fleeson, in front of an engaged audience.
