As our coverline suggests, the way we think about hair extensions has radically changed in the last few years. Extensions are no longer just an add-on service and they’re certainly not only for adding length... We talked to experts and brands about the latest innovations and how leading extensionists are marketing them to their clients, from viral TikToks to good old-fashioned word of mouth recommendations. If you don’t see the profit power of extensions now, you certainly will after reading our feature on page 44.
If you’re keen to learn more about clippers and short haircuts, turn to page 51 to get tips from barbers on upskilling in this area. With the lines being blurred between traditional ‘men’s and ‘women’s’ cuts it’s essential that everyone dusts off their clippers and raises their game.
It was a whirlwind month for travel, with the HJ team heading to Edinburgh for Goldwell HUB Network and Sweden for Eurovision with Moroccanoil. We then headed back to Scotland to host our first-ever Professional Beauty & Hair Glasgowread all about it on page 16.

This month, three educators discuss how social media has changed education.
