Sorting Stock Made Easy with Vish
Get ready for the autumn rush as clients return from their sunny holidays requiring colour touch-ups and repair treatments. Vish has you covered when it comes to managing your colour needs by capturing all product dispensed and ensuring any additional colour and treatments are properly charged for.
But it is the data Vish delivers that simplifies stock control, making it easy to replenish your shelves without wasting time counting box tops. And in 12 months, when next year’s holiday season is coming to a close, you’ll be able to see what the most popular shades and treatments were for autumn 2023. It means in 2024 you’ll have a good idea what shades and how much will be needed to ensure everyone can create the best colour and finish for their clients.
“Vish measures and automatically records all colour dispensed down to the tenth of a gram, allowing us to see how much is measured out by our stylists, which makes reordering easy,” says Toby Dicker, owner of The Chapel. “No more colours gathering dust on our shelves. We keep it lean, saving space, improving cash flow, and eliminating ageing colour sitting unseen on our colour bars.”

NHBF STATE OF THE INDUSTRY SURVEY – BUSINESS SURVIVAL IMPROVES
The latest State of the Industry Survey from the National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) shows that while there is an overall feeling of positivity in the industry, there are still several factors having a negative and damaging impact for many businesses. The improvement seen in April 2023 has persisted, with 43% of businesses making a small or good profit, 42% breaking even and fewer making a small or substantial loss. Over the previous three months, nearly half (55%) of businesses raised their prices, with the other half (52%) saying they will do so over the next three months. Respondents included salon or barbershop owners, chair or room renters, home-based business owners, mobile or freelance practitioners, employers and the self-employed.

Members of the Professional Beauty Group team took on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Hair & Beauty Charity in July. Hairdressers Journal International’s Senior Events Executive Matt Price commented: “Thanks so much to everyone who donated. The challenge was a rollercoaster featuring geese, broken hiking boots and a breakdown in the rain. The Hair & Beauty charity does such great work supporting hair and beauty professionals in their hour of need and is so important to so many people in our industry facing difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances.”
