Life Through a Lens
The Hair Surgery salon owner looks back at his colourful career highlights, multiple magazine covers and award-winning shots
1: Simple Beauty
This was an early shoot from when the salon first opened. I love the simplicity of the shot, it’s timeless – we still use it in marketing to show our style and quality of service.
2: Captivating
Shot for my Globally Blonde collection, I wanted to showcase a colour story for Schwarzkopf Professional, using only Chroma ID. It's always commented on in the salon.
3: Colour Chameleon
I love to create accessible and wearable, high quality, editorial worthy hair. I changed the model’s hair colour four times in one day for my collection ‘Take One Girl’.
4: Cover Girl
This look is from my 2015 collection ‘Ethereal’ and got lots of fantastic coverage and even a front cover. It was my first collection shot under my own brand, in my then-new salon.
5: Shine On
Shot in 2016 on location, this was a purely editorial shoot. I had so much fun creating this and it got a front cover too.
6: 90s Chic
This is my 90’s inspired ponytail, again one of my all-time favourite images. This look was shot in house with a client as my model and no budget.
7: Surprise!
This shot is basically my reintroduction back into the British Hairdressing Awards. I got the chance to work with my friend and photographer, Michael Young.
