Wearing PPE and working longer hours have taken their toll, but it finally feels like we are on the brink of a new chapter filled with hope and excitement for clients and hairdressing businesses alike. I hope that by next month however, we’ll see quite clearly it was all worth it to keep your clients safe, your business open and to ensure you continue to be your clients’ first port of call when their social diaries fill up again.
I would like to share some sad news amongst all of the hope and excitement for the not-too-distant future – I’ll be leaving Hairdressers Journal International this month to move onto pastures new.
I will miss the incredible HJ team and all of you very much. There is no doubt about it – the pandemic has been a rollercoaster ride for all of us. I will be forever grateful that I was able to connect with so many of you on a deeper level in such a short space of time thanks to our countless live sessions. It was a journey I’d like to think we all went on together and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter will bring for all of you, and I will be eagerly tuning in from afar to see it.
I am leaving HJ in the hands of Charlotte who will be taking on the Editor role and I’d like to say a huge thank you to Jayne, the HJ team and all of you for making my job so much fun and colourful in more ways than one. I wish all of you the very best for the bright future that lies ahead!
