HJ’s British Hairdressing Awards 2025, sponsored by Schwarzkopf Professional, was an unforgettable celebration of British hairdressing excellence. From breath-taking creativity to standout talent, the night honoured the work and individuals shaping the industry today.

Hosted by radio and TV presenter and former hairdresser Rylan Clark, the ceremony took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel, JW Marriott, on London’s iconic Park Lane. The 1,500-strong audience was captivated throughout an evening that combined entertainment, emotion and exceptional craft.

The event opened with a warm welcome from Mark Moloney, Managing Director, who spoke passionately about the strength of the hairdressing industry and the people who continue to drive it forward.

A tribute followed for Hairdressers Journal International’s Executive Director, Jayne Lewis-Orr, marking her departure from Hairdressers Journal. The room celebrated her decades of dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment to the industry.

The opening show from Schwarzkopf Professional set the tone for the evening. Their ‘For Every You’ collaboration delivered a fusion of hair, fashion and music culture, led by Nick Irwin and featuring surprise special guest singer Beth Ditto!

Schwarzkopf Professional’s senior leadership team, including UK and Ireland General Manager Mert Eren, alongside Richard Thomasson, Ed Mosley, Annamarie Freeman and Kay Brady, joined HJ’s editorial and leadership team, including Mark Moloney, Jackie Brown, Charlotte Grant-West and Sian Jones to present the 18 regional and specialist awards.

The celebrations continued with a live performance from Nadine Coyle, followed by the British nominee catwalk shows, which showcased the breadth of skill and vision within the industry.
