HJ’s 2025 British Hairdressing Awards and our ongoing partnership with Schwarzkopf Professional celebrates the incredible creative talent within our industry. This Winning Collections souvenir issue is the dedicated place to see the collections in full and admire the skill, imagination and technical excellence.
We know how much it takes to put together a hairdressing collection. And then to put it in front of the very best hairdressers in the world? Well, that takes serious bravery. We don’t take this level of commitment and vision for granted, so we are excited to be making some changes for 2026 in terms of the entry requirements to ensure we are attracting the very best talent from across all sectors of the industry. Stay tuned as we announce these early in 2026. One thing that will not change is that the awards are judged anonymously and independently by a panel of credible and talented experts, the process overseen by independent auditors to ensure complete fairness and transparency.
Inside this issue you’ll find the full British Hairdresser of the Year collection, from Efi Davies, who won the title for the first time. Our eight nominees also produced mind-blowing collections and an incredible live show on the night itself.
The British Hairdressing Awards continues to raise the profile and professionalism of this incredible industry, this year we strove to get the word out far and wide – we appeared on BBC Radio London, across multiple national media outlets, and garnered 4 million views on our social channels alone.
With the support of Schwarzkopf Professional, this event allows individuals and teams to achieve their dreams and realise their goals and sets British hairdressing apart from the rest of the world. We couldn’t be more proud.
