Firmly secured in the British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame, Phil Smith reflects on his favourite images that he has curated throughout his career
1 Glory
I’m still so in love with this shoot, it was a very iconic collection. Behind the lens was man of the moment Matthew Williamson.
2 Winner
I love the simplicity of this shoot. It will always be memorable for me as it earned me my third win at the British Hairdressing Awards, and gained me entry into the Hall of Fame.
3 Honour
This image brings me such happy memories – it was an honour to work with the late Stuart Weston on this timeless shot.
4 Touch of torch
Working with Robert and Kay Lobetta was so memorable. This collection was shot using a 'torchlight technique', I was actually one of the first hairdressers to do this.
5 Material Girl
This has to be my all-time favourite shot of mine. It just ticks every single one of my boxes.
6 Enigma
I was so pleased with the success of this shot. I think it is a breathtaking image, and I’d like to think it inspired a few people in the industry.
