Andis’ Rebrand Focuses on Empowering
Andis Company's new look focuses on championing creativity and artistry. Front and centre of Andis’ rebrand are their empowered creators. Matt Andis, Co-CEO, said of the rebrand: “Andis has always been an advocate for the creatives and visionaries in the world, as well as those solving practical challenges at home. Now, with our elevated brand experience and striking new look, we are focusing on what matters most to us – our community of creators.”
The family-led business was founded in 1922 and their clippers, trimmers and styling accessories are used by professionals around the globe. The Andis Company rebrand launched Monday 2 August and will continue into 2022 with partnerships, events and social media contests.
They have also launched a new website helping users purchase tools with greater ease and be inspired by their creators.
Barbershop bags £500,000 Glasgow investment
More than £500,000 is to be invested in a new barber school in Glasgow which aims to tackle the grooming industry skills shortage. Sovereign Grooming, led by Kyle Ross, aims to train 600 barbers over a decade to help the Covid-19-related staffing crisis. The grooming specialist has secured funding to take over three floors of an historic building.
Initially 20 new jobs will be created and Sovereign Barber School will offer intensive 15-week courses. The business has received financial backing from its group of investors, led by MB Martin & Partners, which specialises in helping budding, early-stage companies grow.
Covid-19 Hair Loss Link
According to a recent study, nearly a quarter of patients experienced hair loss within six months of infection from Covid-19. While the results show a direct link between the virus and hair loss, doctors believe the physical and emotional stress it puts on the individual is the main cause. Telogen Effluvium is a form of hair loss characterised by hair thinning and an increase in hair shedding – and it can be triggered by a shock to the system that induces stress. If in doubt, always recommend your client sees a trichologist first. Upon appointment, they will be able to work out and evaluate which treatment is best for your client with options that can include hair systems, scalp micro-pigmentation or specialised creams and shampoos.
