AW21 Hair Trends

Paul Costelloe

Smooth and sleek
International artistic director for TONI&GUY and British Hairdresser of the Year nominee, Cos Sakkas crafted sleek chignons at Paul Costelloe, teamed with a low side-parting for a sleek and understated silhouette, which was also seen at Erdem and Roksanda.

Working from home hair
Effortless, Zoom-ready hair was on the cards at Stella McCartney. Think healthy and conditioned, rather than heavily styled.
Session stylist Eugene Souleiman twisted the lengths and dryed with a Dyson for the lived-in waves from the AW21 show.

XL Accessories
Hair slides, knitted head warmers, headbands… hair accessories were all over the show this season. At Mark Fast, Maria Kovacs used R+Co to prep the hair before adorning with a smattering of silver accessories, including diamante stars and chunky silver barrettes.

Elevated ponys
Elegant ponytails were seen at Erdem and Stella McCartney. This season, they were low on the nape of the neck and finished with a glossy shine. L’Oréal Professionnel Paris ambassador Adam Reed styled the lengths in a bun first, before unravelling to create a soft bend in the ponytail for the Erdem show.
