INSIDE THE ACTION WITH WAHL
FROM A CLOSER LOOK AT AN EXCITING NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH TO LEADING TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND INSIGHTFUL BUSINESS ADVICE, HERE’S A FRONT ROW LOOK AT WAHL’S TIME AT #SALON26
THE HEAVY HITTERS IN BARBERING
The stage welcomed a stellar line-up of barbering talent across the two days, from Wahl Pro UK Lead Educator Dean Gleeson to Wahl Artistic Team members Alan Beak, Cal Newsome, Zanear Kurd and Mic Damiano. There was also a first Salon International appearance for Jeffrey Batista, Director of Menspire Academy Glasgow, following his recent announcement as the newest member of the Wahl Artistic Team.
MAKE THE SWITCH
Salon International was the perfect opportunity for Wahl to showcase its latest launch, the Vapor Switch: a high-performance clipper that includes dual-speed power settings, powerful battery life and tool-free blade adjustment. It also includes seven premium attachment combs and Wahl’s single charging station, and is suitable for everything from bald fading, bulk removal and closer cutting to gradual fading, precision fading, smoother blending and tapering. Cal Newsome and Jeffrey Batista were joined onstage by Ryan Fitchett to demonstrate the power and versatility of the vapor, up close and personal.
EDUCATION OVERLOAD
Education remains at the heart of Wahl’s work, with the brand committed to supporting hair professionals at every stage of their careers. It’s a mission close to the heart of Simon Shaw, Global Artistic Director for Wahl UK and the 40th President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.
As sponsor of the Modern Barber Stage, Wahl brought this ethos to life across the weekend, with sessions designed to sharpen skills and spark creativity – from mastering the art of the fade to taking cuts from classic to creative.
