Lathaniel Chambers @lathanielscouture
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
We don’t just create beautiful hair - we create confidence. Every client leaves my salon feeling like the best version of themselves, because we take the time to listen, tailor every detail, and deliver results that turn heads and lift spirits.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Opening my own salon and watching it grow into a trusted, welcoming space is huge for me. But I’m also proud to have had the privilege of working with a few well-known names along the way (I’ll keep them to myself!) - proof that our standard of care and skill speaks for itself, no matter who’s in the chair.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
Helping the next generation of stylists not only master their craft but understand the “why” behind healthy, beautiful hair really lights me up.
Claire Martin @claire_the_curl_ therapist
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would say I’m a textured hair colouring expert.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Winning Texture Expert of the Year 2024.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I can’t wait to empower even more hairdressers to work with all hair textures.
Pashcan’el Mitchell @pashcanel
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I blend high-level technical skill with a deep understanding of hair health, cultural context, and individuality.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Transitioning out of the salon to work on editorial projects, getting into print, building a celebrity clientele, and continuing to educate while watching stylists evolve has been incredibly fulfilling. Putting smiles on
my clients’ faces remains at the heart of what I do.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I’m developing specialist training for textured hair, launching later this year. I’m also working on new styling projects that will allow me to bring textured hair to the forefront in high-fashion and media spaces – something I’m truly passionate about.

Chris Grimley @fusionhairco @chrisgrimley1
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The way I combine teaching with doing. I love that I get to share my knowledge with my team in the salon, as well as travelling to educate other stylists.
PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Winning my British Hairdressing Business Awards for Fusion Hair Company meant the world to me and the team. But some of my proudest moments are smaller. Like when one of the team qualifies, or when I see them trying something they used to be scared of.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
People are starting to realise that textured hair education isn’t a niche. I’ll be growing the Textured Curl Academy even more.
Tia Coker @artistictia.studio_
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I use hair as a powerful artistic medium to tell stories about culture, identity, and connection. Blending hair artistry with sculpture, installation, and performance, I create immersive, thought-provoking work that challenges traditional ideas of beauty and celebrates the richness of textured hair.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Hosting my first solo exhibition in London last year. My Hair, My Crown, completely sold out with over 100 people in attendance. It was a “hair jungle” – a sensory experience exploring texture and the connection between culture and identity.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
Pushing my 3D hair installations further into the editorial and fashion world.

IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
My USP is being 100% me online. I don’t have a shop front, so that’s how I give clients a heads up on exactly who they’re turning up to, I’m not a filtered person! Other than that, my hairdressing is always science based and backed.
PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
That would be taking the leap and going self-employed! It’s opened up a lot of doors.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I enjoy having a varied day to day life whilst hanging out with the best type of people…hairdressers!

Nina Maudsley @braidslayerbynina
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I founded Braid-s-layer to transform traditional braid techniques into sculptural statements for editorials, campaigns, and everyday empowerment. Every braid tells a story, layered with meaning, style, and
identity.
PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Being invited by Braids Gang to create a custom sculptural look for their exclusive Braiders Brunch. Being recognised among some of the UK’s most talented stylists and asked to showcase my artistry in such a bold and expressive way was a defining movement.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I’m going to be starting my master’s degree in Creative Direction for Fashion and Beauty.
Leesha Wyeth @leesha_ur_braider
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I want to create hairstyles that transcend mere aesthetics, and become powerful forms of expression. Each creation is not just a trend but a bold, show-stopping statement that reflects unity, celebrates identity, promotes inclusivity, and harnesses artistic power.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
I had the incredible opportunity to showcase a stunning large braid sculpture, with @braidslayernina at the recent Braiders Brunch. Presenting in front of such a large audience has always been daunting for me, but I loved it.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I am excited to connect with the creative community and embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Lattara Clarke @braids_for_all_textures
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Braids For All Textures was created so that individuals of Mixed & Black Ethnicities with thicker hair textures and more defined curl patterns have the opportunity to get beautifully crafted braids, without the use of any type of heat. Many people have lived with the notion that they have to apply heat when styling their hair, because they’ve been told that certain styles of braiding cannot be accomplished due to the thickness and density of their crowns. Lies!
WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Starting my first podcast called “Life As A Full-time Braider”. I interview braiding professionals, who either work from home, have salons, or started off braiding and are now earning multiple figures. I used to fear that I wasn’t good enough to be a host. But by grace, I pushed through and gained an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, worthiness and strength.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I’m excited to revamp my website, Braidsforalltextures.com. I have gone through many trials and tribulations that could have broken my mind, spirit and soul. But I got back up even stronger, happier and wiser than ever.
Name: Erica Castro @braidedbynicks
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I’d say it’s the attention to detail in every braid I create. I take my time to make sure each parting is clean and precise, and I always tailor my braiding techniques to suit each client’s hair and needs. I focus on understanding the hair I’m working with, and I’m constantly learning new ways to refine my craft.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Definitely moving abroad and building a whole new client base from scratch. It came with a lot of challenges, but it pushed me to grow and become even more creative in my work. Now, being back in London and settling into my own space feels like another huge milestone for me and my brand.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I’m excited to start teaching and offering courses - I get asked for tips all the time, so it feels like the perfect next step. I’m also looking forward to expanding Braided by Nicks, growing my bulk hair range, and taking the brand to the next level now that I have my own dedicated space.
Rufina Stuart @reformedhair
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I merge hair, heritage, and self-love to empower Black women and girls. As a celebrity hairstylist, educator, and author, I don’t just create beautiful hairstyles or publish inspiring books, I create experiences that honour culture, ignite confidence, and connect on a deeper level.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
My proudest career moment so far has definitely been the launch of my new children’s book, Alina’s Glowing Afro. For a long time, I felt boxed in as “just” a celebrity hairstylist, and breaking out of that mould was a real challenge. But my deep passion for hair, my desire to uplift others, and my heart for raising the next generation pushed me to write this book.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
Reformed Hair has been my baby for the past five years, and watching it evolve and blossom has been such a rewarding journey. This year, I’m stepping into a new chapter as I expand into more purpose driven work, where I combine hair, heritage, and healing. Most of all, I’m excited to keep inspiring and nurturing the next generation, showing them that their roots are powerful, their voices matter, and their dreams are valid.
Hyacintha Faustino @HairbyHyacintha
IF YOU HAD TO SUM UP YOUR USP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I bring not just technical excellence in hairstyling – especially with textured and Afro hair – but also strong, positive presence that uplifts teams and fosters trust, even under pressure. Whether backstage or on set, or in one-on-one work.
WHAT’S YOUR PROUDEST CAREER MOMENT SO FAR?
Contributing to the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics by creating the powerful Afro hairstyle worn by Axelle Sain-Cyreil. It was more than a look – it was a celebration of identity, culture and presence on one of the biggest global stages. Seeing the impact it had made me feel deeply aligned with my purpose.
WHAT ARE YOU EXCITED ABOUT FOR 2025?
I’m excited to grow my brand, a premium care concept rooted in wellness and inclusivity. I’m also looking forward to collaborating with more conscious creatives and expanding my presence in the international and editorial fashion scene.
