HJ Reports: Revved Up for 2024
Celebrating the power of its people, Revlon Professional honoured its team champions and Visionaries at its annual conference and awards event, which also set out plans for the year
The 2023 Visionaries team, who have enjoyed a year-long mentoring programme led by Mark Leeson and Richard Darby, presented their finale in January at Revlon Headquarters, Greater London House in Camden. The presentation was an explosion of colour and beautiful styling, with Danny Malone, Dodge Mackay, Emy Roccabella and Ashley Long sharing their favourite experiences before handing over to the newly announced 2024 Team.
With its people at the heart of its strategy and growth, Matt Horder, General Manager of Revlon Professional UKI said: “We have recognised those on the team who achieved phenomenal success in 2023, all ultimately working with our stylists and partner salons supporting their goals, teams and business ambitions. Getting everyone together as a collective also allowed our international team to share the exciting launch and market strategies for the brand and reaffirmed the importance of the UK as part of the global strategy.”
Rugby legend Jamie Peacock MBE kicked off the second day with an insightful session on per formance and shared the learnings of his personal journey, which was not only relatable but thought provoking. As he talked about positive influence and self-discipline, Jamie said: “If you want to be extraordinary you have to go the extra mile and you’ll find there is very little traffic on that mile. It is not about being the best in the room, leadership and teamwork is about getting the very best out of the room and by simplifying the plan, you will enable everyone to understand the end goal.”
Jamie explained that teams need to celebrate their wins together and show resilience, but also commitment to their role they are in: “Commitment is an act, not a word. and that means pushing yourself when no-one is around and staying loyal to what you said you would do – long after the moment you said it in has passed.”
The Education team shared a trend presentation on the resurgence of the bob and the Pantone Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz, whilst American Crew All Star, Ian Harrold, gave a live demonstration and shared how he has grown his business by utilising everything the brand has to offer.
With an activity-packed calendar, the future looks bright for the team and the brand.
