HJ Reports: milkshake, HAIRTOPIA 2025

Over 1200 stylists from around the world landed in Ibiza to party, learn and celebrate at the HAIRTOPIA hair festival

HAIRTOPIA, the hair festival organised by Beautynova, saw guests immerse themselves in next-level education, inspirational shows and hands-on brand experiences from milk_shake, Medivita and DEPOT, cementing the pivotal role hairdressers play in the brands’ future vision. “Bringing such a vast community of haircare professionals from all over the world to Ibiza was quite a challenge,” said Beautynova CEO, Stefano Banfo. “By organising this major event, we want to demonstrate Beautynova’s continued commitment to standing alongside our hairdressers and stylists, while highlighting the central role of the professional world in the future of our Group.”

Day one offered guests a chance to explore, unwind and soak up the Balearic energy, setting the tone before HAIRTOPIA 2025 officially began at the Hard Rock Hotel. Day two opened with a full day of education, creative inspiration and hands-on learning hosted by John Moroney, Beautynova’s Senior Vice President of Global Education, who shared: “Education remains the key to success for every hairstylist because participating in education is the most important thing a stylist can do for themselves and for their clients. For a stylist to be successful, they must feed three elements: Dedication, Curiosity and Creativity.” Even as the weather took a turn, spirits stayed high with a celebration of artistry in the HAIRTOPIA Hair Show that brought together the milk_shake, Medivita and DEPOT creative teams from across the globe. Representing milk_shake UK, Andrew Smith and Shelley Lane presented tribal-inspired looks featuring voluminous afro-textured wigs, intricate braids and colourful weaves.

As evening fell, guests headed to Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel for an unforgettable night at David Guetta’s F*ck Me, I’m Famous residency show.

Guests were invited to continue networking with fellow stylists and salon owners as well as the Beautynova brands with Rishabh Gandhi, Chief Marketing Officer of Beautynova, commenting: “At Beautynova, we are driven to deliver brilliant brands supported with products that work, and education that both inspires and excites hairdressers. It’s no longer just about the product, but about the full service and holistic experience that helps us differentiate our brands and products.” All this, before heading to the Hard Rock Hotel for the Be A Rock Star farewell party – not forgetting to bring our best rock and roll look!

HAIRTOPIA 2025 confirmed Beautynova’s dedication to hair professionals, offering a unique experience that brings together expertise, creativity and a global community. With new connections and memories made, HAIRTOPIA certainly left us ready for the next adventure!
