THE TECHNIQUE:
► STEP 1
Section off your face frame two inches from the hairline, then section off a horseshoe shape on the crown to just above the occipital bone.
► STEP 2
Cut the baseline to desired length with a point cutting technique for soft edges.
► STEP 3
For the face frame section, use a flick cutting technique for soft textured edges. Use the lip line as your starting point, then angle down to the length of your baseline at the back.
► STEP 4
Unravel the crown section, then sub divide into four sections. For the first section, use your comb as a length guide and slide cut upwards to create uneven layers. Alternate your slide cutting with the remaining three sections (from left to right).
► STEP 5
Twist one-inch sections throughout the mid internal back of the hair and use a razor to gently tap the twists and achieve a choppy effect.
“DEPENDING ON TEXTURE, USE MOROCCANOIL TREATMENT LIGHT / ROOT BOOST / VOLUMIZING MOUSSE, ALONG WITH FRIZZ SHIELD SPRAY. I USE A 45MM MOROCCANOIL CERAMIC BRUSH TO GIVE VOLUME, THEN FINISH WITH MOROCCANOIL LUMINOUS HAIRSPRAY AND MENDING INFUSION.”
