Hosted by Clara Amfo, supported by Lisa Snowden, Twiggy Jalloh and Hannah Martin, the evening saw 155 competition models walk and #LCT24 category winners crowned. The audience was treated to two spectacular shows. Firstly, the Trevor Sorbie Creative Team presented Metaball. Led by Creative Director Giuseppe Stelitano, he exclusively told HJ: "This is the biggest show of my career to date. It's fun, it's joyful, we wanted to celebrate the return of the Trevor Sorbie show. We've got dancers, models, colour and lots of wigs.”

The Russell Eaton Artistic Team, led by Art Director Robert Eaton, showcased Luminaire, a colourful spectacle that used cutting edge technology to bring a multidimensional experience to hair. Robert told us: "It's a light show that's going to bring to life different colours and textures. Expect strong, bold shapes and contrasting colours.” In addition, Neville Hair & Beauty's Creative Director Jack Merrick-Thirlway re-created hair looks from the On/ Off presents Jack Irving show from London Fashion Week.

She said: "L'Oréal Colour Trophy has been championing professional excellence and hair artistry for over five decades. It is the longest running live hair competition in the world."

This was followed by a catwalk of the Grand Finalists who had been competing all day in the RDS, Dublin, before this year's judges Alan Edwards, Andrew Mulvenna, Darren Ambrose, Marcello Moccia and Nathan Walker, took to the stage.

We were treated to two shows by Jason Hall and Abigail Butler, and the Arkive by Adam Reed team respectively. Firstly, Mashup was supported by a team of L'Oréal Professionnel backstage artists.
