HAIR IN RECOVERY

Racoon International’s Hair in Recovery course teaches stylists the skills to create hair transformations for clients who suffer from medical hair loss

ALL BEFORE AND AFTER RESULTS SHOWN ARE UNRETOUCHED, GENUINE RACOON HAIR IN RECOVERY CLIENTS

Losing hair is traumatic for any client and as a hairdresser, being able to create the ultimate transformation that can make a difference to how clients look and feel, is the most rewarding part of the job.

Racoon International’s Hair in Recovery course is a unique training course developed in partnership with leading Trichologist, Iain Sallis, and incorporates both practical and theory to equip stylists to create hair looks for medical hair loss patients. Originally designed for recovering chemotherapy patients, Racoon International’s Hair in Recovery programme has since been extended to include other medical reasons for hair loss. The important factor being that the hair is stable and recovering, which is determined in the initial indepth consultation.

Get involved

Aimed at professional stylists and extensionists who want to develop their hair extension skills, this incredibly rewarding service is a way to give clients who have suffered hair loss their confidence back and something to smile about. Approximately 90,000 women in the UK undergo chemotherapy each year and although not all of them would experience hair loss, a substantial number of them will, and therefore value the support to help them look and feel better.

The five-day course includes a combination of training at the Racoon International Academy and online interactive training, including in-depth learning on trichology. Those who take the course will learn the micro bond technique and placement which when coupled with the bespoke blending of luxe bonds, helps you create amazing hairstyles that are instantly transformative to hair loss sufferers. Unlike some other solutions available, the method gives a result that feels and moves like the client's own hair whilst still allowing the scalp to 'breathe' which is essential for the hair in recovery.

Getting involved will not only add to the professionality of your salon and your team but you will be added to the Racoon International referral scheme recommended specialist list. The hair required for clients on the referral scheme is heavily subsidised by Racoon International for up to a year to support the client’s hair recovery journey.

Trichologist, Iain Sallis commented: “Racoon’s luxe bond extensions are scientifically proven not to damage hair. The company’s products and methods for their Hair in Recovery training system are second to none – no one else goes to the extent Racoon International does to ensure the health of the client’s hair and scalp, or to support the professional extensionist with comprehensive training and knowledge to take back to their salons."

Lawrence Taylor, Head of Education, adds: "Working with a client who is devastated by their hair loss and knowing you can really help them, is the most amazing feeling and I love seeing their happiness at the end of the appointment when they get hair they just didn't think they could have."

If you are already Racoon International trained in luxe bonds, you can go directly to the Hair in Recovery Course. If you are not yet Racoon International certified in luxe bonds (even if you are trained in other Racoon International methods),you would start with a 1-day Luxe Bond Course before moving on to the Hair in Recovery Course.
