The L'Oréal Colour Trophy UK winners
On Monday 10 July, the 67th annual L’Oréal Colour Trophy UK Grand Final took place at Battersea Evolution, London. HJ joined the grand finalists and judges for a day of live competitions, before witnessing a spectacular final.
Hosted by presenter Zara McDermott, the longest running live hairdressing competition showcased the true DNA of L’Oréal Professionnel Paris – research, innovation and service to the beauty industry.
The evening event was kick-started by a catwalk of all 160 competing looks, followed by hair shows including, “OLAPEJU” by Tolu Coker x TONI&GUY Breakthrough Team and "LIMITLESS" by Luke Pluckrose of SAKS. L’Oréal Professionnel Paris also presented their new initiative, focused on supporting the mental health of hair professionals across the UK&I. Globally, 59% of hairdressers said that mental health was a concern for them – and in the UK alone, this jumped up to 74%*. This is why L’Oréal Professionnel Paris has launched Head Up, a free training programme for hair professionals to care for their own mental health and wellbeing, available for free on L’Oréal Access.
