“For Freya's hair up look, we used Beehive Backcomb Effect Texturising Spray to create a solid base for a French twist at the back of the head. We accentuated the fringe to its full potential to create fullness and texture around the front and to frame the face. We then used Peace Out Dry Wax Texture Spray and Get a Grip Volumising Texture Dust for added texture and fullness.”

“On Lucy, we used two different sized tongs to mimic a natural curl pattern, creating an effortless, everyday curly look. We prepped the hair using Force-Field Heat Styling Protection Spray, then gently separated the curls with Beehive Backcomb Effect Texturising Spray to build texture and volume while keeping the finish soft and wearable.”

THE STYLIST EDIT

Shed’s latest collection, created by the brand’s all new Artistic Team, celebrates beautiful salon hair that clients can enjoy every day

Soft movement, glossy finishes and effortless femininity define this brand new collection from Shed. Staying true to the brand’s ethos ‘salon hair every day’, the collection celebrates beautiful and wearable hair that feels both polished and relaxed. Think touchable texture, airy volume and clean silhouettes – hair that clients can enjoy every day.

Alongside this collection, Shed is proud to announce the appointment of its brand new Artistic Team: Amelia Wilmott, Charlotte Singleton and Darcey Clarke. Working in close collaboration with photographer, Michael Young, the trio played a key role in shaping the visual identity of the collection, from creating the looks to leading the styling on set. Their combined creativity and technical expertise bring a fresh, contemporary energy to the brand, marking an exciting new chapter for Shed.

“This collection was about capturing hair that feels effortless but elevated – that sweet spot between everyday wearability and editorial impact,” says Michael. “I wanted each image to feel like a moment rather than a pose – natural movement, genuine expression, and hair that lives and breathes. Shed to me is about confidence in the everyday, so the photography leans into that – clean, modern, and full of personality.”

“We chose to create elevated versions of everyday hair, as that perfectly reflects what Shed stands for: Salon Hair Every Day. It was important for us to keep the aesthetic candid, positive, and effortlessly beautiful, so the looks truly represented what Shed means to us.”
Amelia Wilmott

“Meeting the wider Shed team and collaborating creatively was a real highlight of the experience. Having the freedom to help shape the looks made the process incredibly rewarding, and the team dynamic felt natural and inspiring throughout.”

Darcey Clarke

“Working with Shed feels like being part of something bigger than a brand – it has a real sense of community. Having used the products for years, it’s been exciting to see the brand’s continued growth, and I’m proud to now be part of that journey.”

“For Beth’s look, we prepped the hair with Force-Field heat protection spray before straightening to a smooth, sleek finish to show off the tones within her hair. We finished with Mirror Mirror Shine Enhancing Finishing Spray to enhance the shine and Con[seal]er Camouflaging Cream For Frizz and Split Ends through the ends to tame any flyaways.”

“We started by enhancing Taina’s natural hair type by using a wand to create definition through natural waves. Tropic Oil Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Melting Whip was then used through the roots and mid lengths to create a chic, slick look. This is the ideal product for a slick look as it’s buildable, gives fantastic shine in the camera and doesn’t dry the hair or give it that crispy feel.

“We then styled the hair into the shape that we loved and used a hair net and Highrise Medium Hold Hairspray to dry with a diffuser to ensure we had no flyaways. To finish, we gave it a mist of Mirror Mirror Shine Enhancing Finishing Spray and then the model was ready for set!”
