GLOWWA Takes on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for Charity
Hair wellness brand GLOWWA has taken on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – all in aid of Hair Reborn, the charity helping people rebuild confidence after cancer treatment. On Monday 29th September, 100 determined walkers set off from Horton-in-Ribblesdale at 6:45am, aiming to conquer all three peaks within 12 hours. Hair Reborn provides free hair services, wigs, and confidenceboosting support to those recovering from cancer treatment. Suzanne Cooper, GLOWWA Founder, says: “Hair Reborn’s work is so close to our hearts. At GLOWWA, we’re all about helping people feel confident in themselves and Hair Reborn does exactly that for people at a time they need it most. Taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks will be a challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the journey so many go through after cancer treatment. We can’t wait to take those steps together for such an important cause.”

L’Oréal UK & Ireland Joins Fight Against Cyber Crime
L’Oréal UKI has been announced as the first beauty company to become a National Ambassador for the National Cyber Resilience Centre Group – a collaboration between the Home Office, policing, academia and Ambassador partners to strengthen cyber resilience across small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) businesses. Jason O’Hare, Cybersecurity CISO, L’Oréal Northern Europe said: “We are helping our partners protect sensitive data, maintain customer trust, and avoid costly disruptions, whilst contributing to closing the national skills gap in cybersecurity.”
NEW BOOK CALLS TIME ON SECOND RATE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Peter Cross, an expert in customer behaviour and ex Customer Experience Director at John Lewis, has collaborated with Jo Causon, Chief Executive at the Institute of Customer Service, to write Start With the Customer, a must read for service industries like hairdressing. Peter said: “A business may claim to love its customers, but conflicting priorities have made too many businesses less alert to how their customers are responding. Being passionate about data is not the same as being passionate about customers.”
