Efficient Salons Boast Better Profits
Salons keen to see business blossom this spring must tighten team efficiency, urges colour tech expert Vish. Research by Vish indicates the amount of colour used by stylists in the same salon for the same service can vary widely, destabilising costs and rendering profit predictions meaningless.
“We have seen salons where one stylist uses £3-worth of colour while her colleague, who overmixes, uses £18-worth for the exact same service,” reports Josh Howard, CEO of Vish. “Every penny and pound wasted on over-mixed colour adds up to almost £15,000 in the average salon and is a massive drain on profit. Only by using Vish can salons eradicate those cost disparities, so every stylist is mixing the minimum required for the perfect colour.”
As well as levelling down colour use, Vish also eliminates team inefficiencies that often result in extra services being left off the final bill. All product dispensed is automatically recorded by Vish and communicated to the front desk, removing the onus on stylists to remember.
