PERFECT PARTNERS: SHINEFINITY + ILLUMINA COLOR BALAYAGE

By using Wella Professionals Ultra Balayage techniques, you can give your clients beautifully blended results

Nikki Clifford, NJUK Hair Salon

What’s your favourite way of using Illumina?

I love using Illumina for root smudging, root tap or blending away soft greys. Clients love the feel of their healthy hair and the beautiful finish and shine.

What’s your favourite way of using Shinefinity?

Shinefinity is per fect for that final glaze to either softly tone, add shine or add pastel shades to the lightened areas.

Do you use Illumina and Shinefinity together for balayage services?

Yes, I use these colour families together for balayage, and most of the time for both dry and wet services. They work per fectly together to give me a beautiful iridescent shine and condition that my clients love!

What’s your favourite formula for balayage?

Natural Oat Blonde: Roots -Illumina 6/16 & 5, Ends -Shinefinity 9/13 & 7/13

What’s your balayage business tip?

Per fect your balayage skills through Wella education. This is a customised, unique service and no balayage is the same. Whether you’re using freehand paint, air balayage or wet balayage, these techniques are all a form of art. I’m a fan of air balayage, it’s a very unique and niche service to offer in your salon.

Nella, Hair Artistry

What’s your favourite way of using Illumina?

I love using Illumina to cool off any warm roots after a balayage.

What’s your favourite way of using Shinefinity?

Shinefinity is great for adding in darker panels when the hair has been over lightened. This is thanks to the zero damage finish which allows the colour to stay true-to-tone even on porous hair.

Do you use Shinefinity and Illumina together for balayage services?

Shinefinity and Illumina work in harmony together to give the hair a luminous feel. I also find that these products blend together really well when doing a root melt into a toner.

What’s your favourite formula for balayage?

One of my favourite combinations is Illumina 6/16 as a Glossing Service on the root. I then tone the ends with Shinefinity, mixing cool warm tones together – my favourite mixture is 09/13 mixed with 09/61.

What’s your balayage business tip?

I always find having a package which includes everything from lightening to toning and from bonding to finishing, with a blow-dry, is more appealing to the client because they know exactly what they are getting.

Shinefinity and Illumina Color work together to achieve luminous results for all types of balayage.

Illumina Color
Illumina Color can lighten, darken and enhance your client’s natural hair colour leaving a glossy, natural looking result and incredible hair quality.

Shinefinity
Wella Professionals Shinefinity helps stylists and colourist achieve long-lasting, true-totone colour whilst maintaining the natural character of the hair and the ultimate healthy-looking shine.
