What exactly is Meche?

NXT’s powder is formulated specifically to be used as part of a two-part system, along with meche (instead of foil), to prevent quick drying and ensure a gentler lift. Meche bleach is commonly employed in a technique known as 'meche highlighting,' where individual sections of hair are isolated using meche before the bleach is applied. This method allows for precise application and can result in a more natural look. Meche bleach is often used for highlighting or for lightening small sections of hair.

NXT’s low-ammonia formulation is a gentle yet power ful lightening system that lifts the natural colour of the hair by up to 5 levels. Although it is ideal for all highlighting techniques, it’s particularly brilliant for freehand balayage and foilyage. The lightening system is made of two components; a tube and a sachet. How to use

Mix 30ml NXT Meche Extra Lightening Cream (tube) with one sachet (50g) NXT Meche Extra Lightening Powder and 30-60ml NXT Cream Developer depending on the consistency required. Leave up to 35 minutes, making sure to check regularly.
