Step 1
1 Detangle and smooth the hair using a Denman D90l Ultra Detangler. Thoroughly prep the hair working mousse through the lengths. Create a sharp centre part with the Denman DPC1 Pin Tail Comb and then in short strokes work down the hair from root to tip.
Step 2
2 Using an elastic or hair bungee, create a low pony at the nape. Divide the pony into two equal sections and twist.
Step 3
3 Continue twisting the two sections through to the end keeping tension. Gently use the tail of the comb to tease out sections if you prefer a looser look.
Step 4
4 Continue twisting the twisted pony in on itself to create a figure of eight and secure with pins. Repeat for the other side, taking care to position the twisted buns symmetrically.
Step 5
5 Using the Denman DPC1 Tail Comb refine the perimeter from hairline to bun. Spray the comb with a little hairspray to tame any stray hairs.
Step 6
6 Spray over with a little shine spray and use the side of the tail on the buns for refinement. Tease and reshape using the tail as required. The result is an elegant up-do with bags of polish.
