NHBF Issues Checklists for Self Employed Stylists

The National Hair & Beauty Federation (NHBF) has launched a series of free, easy-to-use checklists designed to support self-employed professionals and businesses across the hair and beauty sector. To provide support, the NHBF has created four free checklists intended as guidance tools rather than definitive lists. They are designed as food for thought, helping identify what’s in place, what may need attention, and where to find extra support. By visiting the NHBF website, professionals can complete a short questionnaire and receive a tailored summary, followed by further guidance to help them take the next steps with confidence.

Suzanne Cooper, founder of GLOWWA, said Ronnie’s journey embodies the brand’s mission: “Ronnie’s progress is incredible to see, and it’s exactly why we do what we do. His journey shows what’s possible when you commit to GLOWWA MENS - healthier hair, improved confidence and results you can really see.” With male pattern hair loss affecting around 85% of UK men by age 50, and many reporting emotional distress tied to hair thinning, GLOWWA is a salon-friendly supplement option.

In recognition of Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, Beautypreneurs CIC hosted a free Lunch & Learn webinar designed to equip salon owners, hairdressers, beauticians, barbers and wellness professionals with the tools to recognise and respond to domestic abuse and safeguarding concerns. The online event highlighted the unique role that hair and beauty professionals play in supporting vulnerable clients and provided guidance for professionals who may be experiencing or are at risk of domestic abuse themselves.

“CONSUMERS ARE TURNING TOWARD BEAUTY THAT FEELS HUMAN, EXPRESSIVE, EMOTIONALLY REAL AND EVEN FLAWED… WINNERS WILL EMBED AUTHENTICITY INTO PROCESS AND PRODUCT, AS WELL AS MESSAGING. BRANDS THAT THRIVE WILL BE THOSE THAT SHOWCASE THEIR MAKERS, PROCESSES, AND FLAWS AS PROOF OF AUTHENTICITY.”
